What our clients say

Paul Gerolstein

"Me and my family have just returned from our marvelous cruise in the Mediterranean. We booked all our tours and transfers with SPB Mediterranean. We used them in the Baltic before and were delighted. They are a first class outfit. They also have a 5 star rating on TripAdvisor. That is why we decided to book them again for our shore excursions in Barcelona, Livorno and Rome. We could not be happier with all their services, simply perfect in everything."

Discover Cinque Terre (From Livorno)

Enjoy a scenic drive past the sea resorts of Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi to lovely Manarola, where your tour of Cinque Terre begins. Cinque Terre is a national park protected by UNESCO. The area is characterized by steep terraced slopes cultivated with vines, a testament to the transformation of the territory carried out by man's hard work.

The coast falls in sheer, often vertical cliffs to the sea, alternating with small creeks and enchanting beaches among the rocks. Each town of Cinque Terre is unique. The turquoise waters, mild climate and maze of footpaths make it a wonderful area to explore. Olive groves, lemons and grapevines grow in abundance and the air is fragrant with their offerings. Cinque Terre was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site in 1997 to ensure that the production of Sciacchetrà would be preserved. Sciacchetrà, a scented passito wine, is known all over the world. Your day begins in the ancient seaside village of Manarola, possibly the oldest town in the Cinque Terre.

The cornerstone of the church, San Lorenzo, dates from 1338. Renowned for producing a superb local wine, the picturesque area is most famous for Via dell'Amore, the "street of love," which is a spectacular walking path along the sea that leads you to Rio Maggiore. In Rio Maggiore, you will board a motorboat for a scenic coastline cruise to Monterosso al Mare. No visit to the Cinque Terre would be complete without visiting the most famous of the Five Lands. Monterosso is divided into two sections with the medieval Aurora Tower standing proudly in the center.

The area's lush vegetation, wonderful beaches and cliff-top views are a photographer's dream. After a guided introduction to the village, you will have free time to explore the tiny shops and boutiques. During your free time in Monterosso al Mare, browse the many cafés, sample local delicacies, and enjoy a traditional Italian lunch on your own.
